At the 5th German Tunnel Congress for Operational and Traffic Engineering, Safety and Telematics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on 27 April 2023, the variant study and decision for the tunnel ventilation system in the Wanktunnel was presented by Dr Matthias Wehner. This study was commissioned by the Weilheim State Construction Office.
