HBI Haerter Consulting Engineers is an independent company owned by its management and originates from SHB Schindler Haerter Ltd founded in 1963. From the offices in Bern and Zurich (Switzerland) and in Heidenheim (Germany) more than 25 ventilation specialists work on the worldwide projects.

All set for the future
We planned every detail well in advance – our great coup. HBI set a course for the future, and we would like to share our joy with you.
The issue of a reliable succession has been on our minds for some time. Today, we are pleased to announce the solution: HBI continues being an employee-owned company. The current associates gradually hand over their managerial functions to the next generation.
The first steps have already been taken: Simon Schneider has been appointed to the board of directors and Simon Frey supplements the management board. On our 60th anniversary in 2023, our management board is going to have a new composition and from 2024, the younger generation will steer HBI into the future.
Important note: Nothing changes for you. Your familiar contacts continue being at your disposition. Even though their roles change, the expertise is retained. The previous associates remain active in the company and will assist the successors assuming further responsibilities.
The new management is consistently pursuing the prevailing strategy. Fine-tuning is the primary focus: we continue deepening and expanding our consulting expertise in the area of ventilation, aerodynamics, and safety in tunnels.
